Infant and Child CPR Classes

What would you do if you child or infant was having a breathing emergency?

Sometimes, identifying and reacting properly to an urgent medical situation may be difficult to do. Recognizing an emergency and how you respond can save a life. Early detection of a life threatening emergency, and your ability to perform life saving techniques such as CPR and Choking Prevention, can make a difference in the outcome of the circumstances you encounter. Learning how to increase a loved one’s chance of survival until medical help arrives is crucial.

The key is being prepared and knowing exactly what to do. Allow our certified CPR/First Aid/AED instructor to teach you all the essential skills you will need to know in an emergency. Protect-A-Tot’s Private Couple’s Classes, Group Classes and CPR Parties are available in the comfort of your home! We are a Proud Provider of American Red Cross Health and Safety Training. An American Red Cross Certification, valid for 2 years, can be obtained upon successfully completing all of course requirements. Non- Certification classes, gift certificates and group rates are also available.

• Children sustain approximately 18,000 suffocation injuries each year.
• The majority of childhood suffocation, choking and strangulation incidents occur in the home.
• Children ages 4 and under, especially under age 1, are at greatest risk for all forms of airway obstruction injury. Children 4 years and under are 15 times more likely to experience a suffocation death than children between 5-14 years of age.
• Each year, approximately 873 children ages 14 and under die from airway obstruction injuries.
